Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how dataaiarchitect.com (“this site”, “I”, “me”) collects, uses and protects personal information. The site is a personal blog sharing guidance on data and AI, run by Bipin Pothody, based in India. It is built on WordPress and hosted by Hostinger.

Information I collect

Comments

When you leave a comment, I collect the details shown in the comment form (your name, email address and, optionally, a website), together with your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture. After your comment is approved, your name, website, profile picture and comment are visible publicly. Your email address is never published.

Contact enquiries

If you get in touch through the Contact Me page, for example through a contact form where one is provided, I receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and message. II use it only to reply to your question or feedback.

Server logs

The hosting servers automatically record basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and time of the request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This site uses:

  • Essential and functional cookies: WordPress may set cookies when you leave a comment (to remember your details, if you choose) or log in. The LiteSpeed Cache plugin may set technical cookies to serve cached pages correctly.
  • Advertising cookies: set by Google and its partners if ads are shown (see below).
  • Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics if it is enabled (see below).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as expected. Where required by law, I will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. In that case:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

For more detail, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Analytics

I may use Google Analytics, possibly through Google’s Site Kit plugin for WordPress, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular and how people find them. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. I use it in aggregate to improve the site. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Embedded content

Posts may include embedded content, such as videos or posts from YouTube or LinkedIn. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction, especially if you are logged in there. Their privacy policies apply.

How I use and share information

I use personal information to run and secure the site, moderate comments, respond to enquiries, understand site usage and show ads. I do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that help run the site, such as Hostinger (hosting), Google (advertising and analytics) and Automattic (Gravatar and spam protection, if used), or where required by law. Some of these providers may process data outside India or your country.

Data retention

  • Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. You can ask me to remove your comment at any time.
  • Contact enquiries are kept only as long as needed to reply to you, then deleted.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
  • Analytics and advertising data are kept according to Google’s retention settings and policies.
